Which apps does it block?
Whichever ones you pick. Any app on your phone is fair game — they stay shut until you've done your one thing for the day.
What's the one thing I have to do?
Whatever you choose during setup — a bit of movement, a minute of gratitude, a few pages of reading. Until it's done, the apps you chose stay shut. The terms are yours to write.
Does the alarm really not snooze?
Right. An optional alarm rings until you've actually done your thing — no snooze, nothing to swipe away. You set it; the morning version of you doesn't get to renegotiate.
Does it count my pushups for me?
Yes — it counts your reps for you, right on your phone. Step-based tasks like walking use your phone's own activity data. Nothing about it leaves your device.
What does the camera see?
Only enough to count your reps, and only while you're on that screen. Nothing is recorded, stored, or sent anywhere — it all happens on your phone, and the camera turns off the moment you leave the screen.
Why does Make Me need Screen Time access?
It's the only way an app can actually keep other apps shut — without it, Make Me could only nag. Even with it, we never see which apps you picked, their names, or your usage history. That stays private to your phone.
Can I cancel anytime?
Yes — one tap from your Apple subscription settings (Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions). Make Me never asks for a credit card directly. See subscription terms.
What if I really need an app before I've done it?
Do your one thing and it opens. If you're genuinely stuck, there's a short override to get in for a few minutes — kept deliberately small, so it stays the exception rather than the routine.
Is my data private?
Yes. Your activity and history live on your device — no analytics, no behavioral tracking, no ad identifiers. The only thing we hold off your phone is your subscription status, so it follows you across devices. See the privacy policy.
Does Make Me show ads?
Just one, and only if you want it — you can choose to watch a short ad for a small in-app perk. It's non-personalized: we don't track you, and nothing that could identify you is handed over. There are no other ads anywhere in the app. Details in the privacy policy.
iPad? Android?
iPhone only today. iPad is planned. Android is further out — the app-shielding behavior depends on something iPhone offers that Android doesn't have an exact equivalent for yet.
How do I delete my data?
Delete the app. Because everything lives on your device (and, if you turned it on, your private iCloud), uninstalling Make Me removes it. To also wipe the iCloud copy, sign out of iCloud or remove Make Me under Settings → Apple ID → iCloud → Manage Storage.
